True Colours Dyna Graphics helps Grey Advertising scoop Gold at Cannes Lions.

youtube Cannes Lions advertising award in France

An intrinsic ability to convert ideas into reality is a trait which the two recently merged companies DynaGraphics and True Colours have always had. It's also one which Dynagraphics needed to draw upon in spades to help the team at Grey Vancouver win a Gold Lion in the Direct marketing category at the recent prestigious Cannes Lions advertising awards festival in France. The innovative winning piece was an ingenious cardboard record player that could be spun with a pencil. To see a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7CL0n5rR70) of the record player in action.

Dyna History

Dyna Graphics Ltd: has been owned and operated by 3 equal partners, Dennis Bayluk, Dennis Selinger and Rick Selinger, since August 1984. Each of the 3 partners has spent their entire working careers (over 40 years each) in the graphics industry. Their wealth of knowledge and dedication to providing superior products and services are what has enabled the company to succeed. The company’s focus has been to provide these products and services to Advertising Agencies, Designers, Large & Small Corporations and Printers. Although the graphics industry has changed significantly since 1984, the partners’ philosophy has not and that has been to be honest, provide fair pricing and to stand behind the products and services offered.

True Colours History

True Colours: formed 1991 - first customer (ironically) Dyna Graphics

Began trading as a pre-press company and built a strong reputation for high quality scanned colour separations, film output, retouching and proofing throughout the 90s. TC management was cognisant of the huge technological changes occurring in the graphic arts industry in the 90s and was already an industry leader in offering digital proofing and giclee prints on an Iris 3047. To bolster its position, in 1996 TC became the first pre-press company to venture into large format digital printing with their RasterGraphic electrostatic printer. This printer quickly gave way to higher quality thermal and piezo printing machines. Since then the company has continued to expand its services offering everything from online print management to full out display and signage services for tradeshows, corporate offices, exhibitions, conventions and much more.

TC's Bigger Location

Our new address: 108b-245 Fell Avenue, North Vancouver, V7P 2K1.

We have 4500 sq ft of space and, coming from 2300 sq ft, we can't believe how we managed to fit all the gear we have into that old small space!

We have, I must admit, spread out a bit but the main thing is we have lots of space to add new equipment - the priority being a flatbed printer which we should be able to add within the next six months.

The space is wide open, so we don't have separate offices at the moment but we'll be using partitioning systems once we get fully organized. The main thing is we're not tripping over one another in the production area and we now have room to do multiple large projects which we were unable to accomplish previously.

If you're going to visit us we're in the Papertech building, but on the North side - we don't actually front onto Fell Avenue. Watch out for the sandwich board with our logo.
